Hi all,

I have just got my 928 home. Picked it up from Paul A. who did a cam belt etc and it drove home great in the snow and cold.

My question if anybody has any info is regarding the toad alarm that is fitted to it. I went to disarm it this morning and it goes off every time, so I cant start it or anything. Does anybody know anyone in the Oxford area who could come to me and sort it or maybe even remove the whole thing as it seems a bit over the top for a car that will be used mostly during the summer.

Toad will come to me but £150 seems a lot.

Thanks

Andy

Hi, not sure if this is any help? But I recently changed my battery and counldnt get the bloody thing (alarm-hazzards the lot) to stay off.. I was just about to get my trusty hammer out..then I found a deactivate button (red) (in a descrete place in the car)..wouldnt like to give too many clues away of course for security reasons..other than, you can light your cigar from this area! If ive got the wrong end of the stick I apologise in advance..Best of Luck. Rob T :D

Thanks both for the advice, I havn't disconnected the battery for that reason, but did read somewhere that if you do and leave it for a few minutes it might re set.

I will try Jon Mitchell first before doing anything.

Thanks again

Andy

Dennis (Toad Alarm installation Tech)
Car Alarm Warehouse

Milton Keynes (does installs any where in the UK)

Have you got any info on the model no etc, there is an overide procedure that is entered via the valet sw (in case of remote failure).

Hope this helps

Thanks zola1, I have managed to overcome the problem with some help from a fitter.

I can have the full user guide sent by download for £20, which I guess is a good idea.

I have also sussed the valet mode so that when in my garage there is less chance of it being set off and it should be less of a drain on the battery.

Thanks again
