How do you remove the side rubbing strips? One of mine is a bit bent out at the end and I want to straighten it out, but will need to remove it. It's the one on the offside rear wing.

Hi :)

I am not sure how its removed but I seem to remember a post on Rennlist about it, and as far as I remember its not getting it off thats the problem, its getting it back ON thats a MAJOR problem.....some sort of special adhesive strip if I remember correctly....so I wouldn't remove it until you know.....

All the best Brett :)

Oh OK thanks for the advice, I think I will leave it, as it will probably just end up worse if I start messing with it. I'll get on to replacing the front shocks. Just received 2 new Sachs units from "928s r us" and only $200 for the pair. With VAT and customs charges the total came to under £200. A bit better than a UK supplier who quoted £270 plus VAT each.

Nice one Lightning.

Have you got the adjuster sleeves and threaded nuts? If not 928 International probably have used ones left in their 1/2 price sale, so you'd pay 1/4 of new price and postage modest for light/small items. I had all used front and rear adjusters from them and with only a little clean up with a wire brush they were good as new.

Still have 2 new front shocks from 928s R Us so will fit them soon.

I saw a tip which said that if you remove the wheel liners it's much less work to remove the front shocks as you needn't faff around with lifting upper A arms to help them clear the wheel well. Let me know if this is true!
