Buy a decent 944T and add "enhancements" for not a lot of money and its reliable 300bhp for a lot less than nearly 20K

  , I've had the chance to buy a couple of the 2.7 heads in the last 6 months but the thought of all the ensuing expense made me pass on them, I'm also waiting to see what happens to the pistons in the Hartech car when someone buys it, fits a DPW and whacks up the boost :bom: :)

Hi Pauly,

I am 100% sure that Barry Hart would tell the perspective new owner straight what future modifications he could/could not do with the car.

Live and breathe the Marque,
Stephen

Personally I'm not looking for the most powerfull 944/968 in the U.K or anything along those lines as someone will always just come along and spend more and have something faster ( and jucier on the gas) . What appeals to me about the 'idea' of a supercharged 968 or a 3.0 944 turbo or whatever is the fact that it would be something different from the norm.

I know I am no mechanical guru so won't be doing much to car myself , maybe check tha air in the tyres :P , but I would like to own one that is just interesting and different. If soemething like the Hartech car , or something JMG have created came up for sale I would always consider it if the price wasnt too humungous. Even a car with a different bodystyle would appeal to me IF it was tastefull rather than tacky , I would even keep my own 944 long term and do something weird to it if it wasn't black :bom:

Cheers Mas

I'm sure he would too. Was the video footage from the track session ever uploaded ?.

Seems to have gone a bit quiet on the Hartech car after the initial buzz.

Last I heard he was already gathering parts to make a 16v version using the Varioram head from a 968.

It's merely an interesting side project for Barry and let's not forget it took nearly 5 years to do the first one

Wonder how much the 2.7 head is worth ?, I seem to remember Barry posting that he had 2 944 3.0 turbo's, this one and another part built, at that time both were for sale
