My car still has a water leak I have removed all carpets and seats and if I leave the car in a down pour, rain will not come in until I drive it.
The box section where the drivers seat bolts down is where the water comes in along the seam lip on the r/h side inside the car.I just dont know where the water goes to get into the car from there.
please can anybody help as this is now doing my head in.

I haveconsidered using silocan sealant to fill in the box section from the holes inside the car then the water wouldnt get into that section followed by inside the car?

Be careful of filling anything with sealant.

You could block the holes stopping it coming into the car but start trap somewhere else as the water will just sit there.

Have you looked under the car to see if you can identify potential water ingress points? On the subject of filling the box section or voids with silicone, I agree with Rav and would advise against it. Try to dry out the car and use a proper corrosion inhibitor designed for the job and inject this into the voids and box sections and sills etc. Do a search on BultHamber products (http://www.bilthamber.com/dynaxs50.html) they produce some good gear and I'd recommend them.

Are you sure it's only when you're moving?

If it is all teh time it could be the rear drain tubes for the sunroof or the water drain hole that is near the petrol cap? If the tube has fallen off the back of it you could have water coming in where you say.

Is the driver seat belt damp when you pull it all the way out?

I'd be looking for a hole in the bulkhead as in a grommet missing or similar. The front of the sill or wheelarch doesn't have a hole in it does it?

It is only when I drive away nothing comes in if my car is stationary for ages in the rain.
Ive checked the front arches and the inner arch liners fix down at the bottom of the wheel arch and there is a triangular hole on the floor on either sides.(not sure if any trim is missing if anybody could check theirs i would be very gratefull)
This is really getting to me now as Ive been driving with one seat and no carpets for weeks

Check to make sure there is not a hole under the battery! These cars often rot away there and the next thing to go will be the DME!!

Have you had a look under the heater motor mounting at the rear of the engine bay beneath the plastic cover or not depending on how old the car is. Water can sit behind the rear bulkhead and get under the heater motor unit directly into the car, mine had a few of the mounting screws missing which meant when the rain filled up this section and the car moved it towards the missing screw holes it came directly into the car and can run behind the carpet into the front footwell.
