trust me Pig can procure an old fridge and a matress in the blink of an eye, now if you are sensible there is probably a grant from your local council one from the district and one from the government, all for the sake of half a dozen drunken chavs in Porsches on ya garden for the weekend!!

The 2010 dates for Santa Pod and Shakespeare County Raceway have been confirmed.

There is a lot happening in the club calendar for June/July that are weekend events our show, Le Mans 24hour & Classic, Goodwood FOS and Silverstone Classic.

How about attending a RWYB early in the year a Saturday in March/April and doing another later in September?

We could organise a few classes and have some prizes for the fatest runs in each class etc.

As long as you front engined guys aren't going to cry when the "big plums" crew leave you standing at the lights. :bootyshake:

Hi :)

Lolllll.....I think you meant when the rear engined guys cannot get within a second or even two of some front engined cars.....

I will donate a prize or two if you would like ??

Shall we have just two classes to be fair....

1. Class 1 - V8s

2, Class 2 - The rest (slower cars lol)

All the best Brett :)

Suggest we do it on HP?

The times I have attended these meet people want to race similar cars.
I attended a PCGB event in York and the Air cooled tended to just race air cooled etc
My (first) Rose ended up running against a 924 Carrera GT most of the time.

I got fastest Porsche time of the the day with a 14.01.

Live and breathe the Marque,
Stephen

Hi Brett,

I have started a list.
Got a few people off 928uk.
Once the Pod come back with a suggested date within the range I gave them.
We can advertise it properly and it will snowball.

Do you think Jon would attend in his 944 cabby?
It would good to have some other 'Porsche' stars in addition to you.

Live and breathe the Marque,
Stephen

Definately need to mix and match on the line, we'll use the times achieved for prizes in the classes.

Hi Sean,

I am planning to allocate standing 1/4 times to all cars so we could group together cars within a second of each other. Anyone wishing to race against a friend is ok too. Then could have a shoot out at the end for the fastest cars.

At the last meet at York a new 911 Turbo was beat by a LAND ROVER (it was not standard) but the shame!

Already spoke to 928Uk and Porschefans and got some names.
For our site I am going to put together something like:

The event is held on xxxxxxx and is open to all Porsches from any club or group.

Please add your estimated target 1/4 mile time in brackets so we can try to group you with a car of similar performance.
If you do not know them and your car is unmodified we will base this on Porsches own claimed standing quarter for your car. Modified cars we do some research and get back to you. For an older cars this is really hard to match. However should you wish to race against friends we will TRY to accomodate you.

Trophies will given for XXXXXX

Entrants (examples)

Name Year Model (Target) Factory

Stephen Taylor 95 928 GTS auto (14) 13.7
Paul Taylor 88 944 Turbo S man (14) 13.5
1000 ponies Brett 86 928 s2 auto (12)

Hi Stephen :)

Added my S2 factory time to yours above.....

I doubt I will run a 12 as mine is set for top speed but I can try...is there a prize for longest burnout lol (like the whole quarter)

All the best Brett :)
