I have a number of photography programs but can anyone recommend one for compressing photos?
The ones I have are based on ratios and pixels.
Looking for one that will shink a photo to a specific size?
For example to shink a photo to specifc maximum size allowed on this forum.
Most programs can shink and/or compress photos but decimate them.

Stephen.

Download Irfanview from Irfanview.com it is free & fantastically flexible for jobbies like this.

Another plug for powertool. It's the simplest & quickest to use. Also have Irfanview for messing with photos.

Hi Brett,

Thanks.

Incidently in 2000 at my first attempt at drag racing an auto, and at 928uk meet. I also had the misfortune of spinning the wheels the full length of Santa Pod and getting a terrible time. It was in my girlfriends 1986 928 S2 (LYN 928) which was the same colour as yours. That was in 2000. On a later run that day the 928 beat a 944 Turbo S. The same 928 was also displayed at the NEC Tipec stand that year and was used for drag racing once again against our then Club secretaries 928 S4 Sport/SE at York (score 6:2 to the SE).

Stephen

Hi Stephen :)

That run at Santa Pod where I ran the whole 1/4 with the wheels spinning was not for a time, it was to test whether the removal of my Rev limiter had worked and would allow me to run the Nitrous at up to 8000 revs....

It worked as I clocked 8100 on my Race controller, but as at the time I had no LSD so my 1 rear nearside wheel was more than slightly overpowered by the Nitrous, even though I limited the Nitrous to 300 hp......on top of my 330 ish of normal 928 power....

It was slightly weird actually as I drove the whole 1/4 with the wheel twisted half way round to counteract the single wheel spinning....

All the best Brett :)

Hi Brett,

My run was an accident and my time was worse than yours.
I found the best way to get a 928 s2 (without an LSD) off the line was gently.

Stephen

Hi Stephen :)

Lol...I am not sure my LSD makes that much difference actually...

There is a place near me that I practice launching...

Without the LSD if it was dry I got an 80 yard black line from 1 wheel...

Now I get TWIN 80 yard black lines lol :)

Although to be fair the LSD allows me to launch a lot harder and with more Nitrous..

All the best Brett :)
