Has anyone else seen the group test in December's Classic Cars mag? Nice selection of cars..all which I would love to have the opportunity to drive.. and whilst the 928 dosent look the most exotic..i would suggest that it would eat most of that lot for breakfast in most areas? Im an ex Esprit owner myself and whilst a handsome looking beast it would have a tendancy to explode now and again and build quailty was not great..! :D

I still have bits of my old Esprit in my garage ... the cars gone, they just dropped off and forgot to give them to the new owner.

Bought the mag and to be honest not much of an in depth article on any of the cars, the Uracco looks gorgeous but that engine only has as much power as my VW Passat. You've got to be a masochist to buy pretty much any Lotus, pretty to look at but so fragile. I like the brutish look of the Merak but again it's down on power and I think you'd always be left thinking 'If only I'd bought a Bora' with that grunty V8. The Ferrari is nice but could you really use it as a daily drive, unlikely.
That leaves the 928 as the only truly viable option, he say's without the slightest hint of bias! :D

Stick a 928 in a group with cars including Porsches and it is the only truly viable option.

Live and breathe the Marque,
