following on from my earlier post re puncture and new tyres,i removed the rear tyre so that i could take it to be repaired i put on the temporary wheel because the punctured tyre was completely flat and would not inflate with electric pump,having now found a local tyre company to do the work i decided to put the rear tyre in the boot of the car and low and behold it wont fit in either the front or back boots of the boxster glad this happened on my driveway and not on a dark wet country road in the middle of no mans land anybody had to face this dilema on the road? so i will have to take the punctured tyre to the tyre repairer in the boot of my golf then drive back home and then drive the boxster to the tyre repairer so he can change the other tyre good fun eh!!!

I know a guy with a Z3 that would have the same difficulty. BMW provide you with a poly bag big enough to fit the wheel in though. You then put the wheel in the cabin of the car. My question is what happens if you have a passenger in the car with you?

I suppose the easiest solution is to invest in one of those puncture repair aerosol cans from Halfords or similar.

I always carry a puncture repair bottle. I know one PCGB member who has driven at 120 mph on a wheel repaired by one of these.

once a tyre has been repaired with foam or gel no tyre company will repair that tyre

That is a common misconception.
I have had a number of such tyres repaired myself and I know lots of people who have also had it done.
Maybe sometime in the past someone or a company made that statement but it is certainly not true.
