 Post subject: not another red one

hi all thought it was time to show my 944 first time for a porsche i droped some turbo side skirts on not to hide any rust ( although on one sill had a bit of rust, but i had this cut out and repaired.) but because i like them. Image..

it is a nice shiny red but our over cast days dont do red justise......

They're cookie cutters not Fuchs.

Lovely car though, wish mine was as tidy.

hi you won't be able to get any of them as i did myself....turbo spoiler and i moulded in the air vent's.............

Looks good but keep your eye on the rust. The longer you leave it the more it costs to fix!

When I said that 23mm offset wheels fitted 52.3mm cars people said that I was mental. They wont be doing the front mountings any good though, nor the steering.

not sure you put this in the right section...but 52.3 off set is for a 1988 944....

Im not sure that I understand what youre saying?

You appear to have an 'F'-registered 944. All 944s manufactured after September 1986 use a nominal 52.3mm offset wheel. The wheels fitted to your car, which was intended to use 52.3mm offset wheels have an offset of 23mm.

My point was that I have said on a number of occasions that ET23mm wheels will fit a late offset car, as demonstrated in your photographs. I also pointed out that whilst they wont do a deal of harm on the back; that the fronts will cause excess bearing and mounting wear and that it will steer terribly.

ok got you to be fair i dint look at the off set as they came of the same year car.. :? but they do look a lot better than the teledials..and as it is a weekend car wear is not a major problem... 8)
