He did do it in style didnt he? Dont know what the commentators are on about, saying Button and Hamilton are the first British back to back champions,I seem to remember Graham Hill won it in 1962 and Jim Clark in 1963!

Christ, that's before I was born!!!! :!: I certainly can't remember that.

Checking it out though:

1962 - 1965, Graham Hill, Jim Clark, John Surtees, Jim Clark
1968 - 1969, Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart

That's because that particular commentator is a knob. Did you hear him say "the race leader is now in fifth position" ? Hopefully they'll find somebody better next season who knows what he's talking about, isn't a dick, and won't try to steal the limelight from Martin Brundle.

To be fair he did say that this was the first Britsh driver back to back chamionship in 40 something years, but the guy is still a knob.

Suggestions for a new commentator please, but if someone suggests Murray Walker, I'll visit them in the small hours and shout obsenities through their letter box.

Jenson hasn't signed for Brawn next year yet, so perhaps he's got the job at the BBC.

Fantastic racing throughout the year and a very deserving champion.

As Jenson put it, 'We Are The Champions - Yeehaa'

What an amazing race. Real edge of the seat stuff at the start. Up there with the close of last year’s season.

It is 'congratulations' to Jenson, but what about poor Rubens? He complained of a vibrating rear wheel before Lewis overtook him, but the knob commentator said that Lewis had clipped Ruben's tyre with his front spoiler - wrong again. Maybe Ruben's can take second in the driver standings.

And why are Brawn letting him go anyway?
