Hi all. Just sold my Jeep and now Im after a 944.

Price range up to £2500 and cash waiting.

I know a small amount about the 944 ie; sill's dashboard cracks and so on.

A S2 would be nice but im realistic to what I can get for the money.Must have Tax and MOT,not white though

Looking forward to spending sometime on here and hopefully to get to see everyone else's Porsche.

LO there , I dont hnk anyone here will suggest you'll get a good S2 for 2 and a half. It seems quite a few folk are after a nice S2 at the mo ( including me) and 3.5 plus seems the order of the day.

I have seen some very nice looking 2.7's for that money though and I think a few few far more experienced folk thanI will be along to suggest good 2.7 over average S2

Funny you should say that but I've just found a very nice black 2.7.

Nothing to do with me, but there was just a very nice black S2 listed for £3k if you could stretch in the cars for sale section on this forum.

Saw it but I can only spend up to £2500.

He probably had a few shandies last night ans he needed to sleep it off.....

If your buying any '44 for that money you must have £1500 in the bank or you won't make it through the first year. You may get a reasonble lux for that but mint cared for ones will be more & save you a lot of money if you can find one. You will have to travel & look at a lot of cars first. Joining the club would be a good place to start.

I've found a very well looked after one,2.7 Lux. Going for a look on Friday.

Basically it's as you see it, an '84 A reg 2.5 lux in Guard's red, it's not as late as you were looking for but it's had a bare metal respray, all belts and tensioners were done when the water pump went bang one day. Mechanically it's sound, it's had another new battery as the last one died from lack of use!

The tyres are five years old but they've only done about 1000 miles - the car's been in the garage that long!
The interior needs a little TLC, the drivers seat is tatty, the porsche logo cloth is otherwise generally good for a car of it's age.
History before me is sketchy, I purchased it from a professional car restorer that has now gone bust, this was the last car he did before going out of business. the odometer wasn't working, I've repaired it and it shows 36000 miles but I presume it's been round once.

I'll get the car out of the garage and do some up to date pictures - but that'll have to be in a couple of days.

1986 2.5 lux.80.000 miles.All the essentials working and sounding like its in very good condition.

off to Scotland to pick it up.
