If I am right Simon (not that I suggest this really) does this mean if Rav's car is a 1986 spec car he could use the earlier steel armed wishbones with the removable balljoints with no ill effects and a small fortune saved?

Good question Chas. Im sitting here with m finger pressing F5 every 1 minute :)

I will get the car back tomorrow and be able to see the wishbone that is causing the issue. I will then determine what type of wishbone it has.

Edit
944 man - Youve struck gold mate. My car is an early car - Pre ABS. In fact it used to belong to Jon tresler who sold it because it was so early and brake modifications were hard to do on the car - somthing to do with hubs?

Rav as you probably know I have no Porsche experience but I bought my similar car knowing it needed 2 small oil leaks fixing. As a guide , my Porsche specialist ( and I believe he is well thought of) has priced the following for me.

Fix the same oil leak you have ( must be a weekness?) plus another oil leek on other side plus do the full cambelt service with roller etc ( as mentioned this is part of the same labour) all for 550 plus vat.

Hope this helps re a price comparison.

Regards

Mas
