Evening with Richard Attwood- 917 LeMans Winner

Post by PaulPSB »

Hi Folks

This message is to let you know that our normal club night venue and date will be changed for October only to accomodate a special event. "An Evening with Richard Attwood and Classic World Racing"

The date will be Thursday 22nd October and the venue will be:

Classic World Racing Ltd (CWR)
Unit 4 Victor Business Park
Arthur Street
Redditch
B98 8JY

http://www.classicworldracing.co.uk

Arrive from 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start. Tea/ coffee and biscuits will be available.

Our hosts specialise in classic racing car build, restoration and race preparation and support and so there will be some interesting cars in the workshop for us to look over ahead of the main part of the evening at 7.30pm.

The well known motorsport commentator Andrew Wilkins will interview Richard Attwood about his life, racing, and of course the 917 years and Le Mans success. This will conclude with a short question and answer session.

There will also be a chance to take a look at some suspension modifications that CWR offer for the 911 that will interest those of you looking for track day and/or fast road modifications to your car.

This will be strictly limited in numbers on a first come basis and you must confirm with me to be on the admission list. If you are from another region please send me a PM including your Tipec membership number as this event is open to members only and I will check all to confirm. This is a rare opportunity to find out what its like to drive a 917 to victory at Le Mans and enjoy anecdotes from a racing legend as well as take a glimpse behind the scenes of a racing workshop.

I advise warm clothing as this is a workshop environment after all!

Miss this one at your peril!

Paul :D
