on most of my cars we have owned, we have had tints on the windows, usually limo on the back 3, and 50% on the front 2, what are people's thought on these on my new car?

Personally I don't like them anyway, but 50% on the fronts is illegal & if you get pulled will be 3points and £60!
Light transmission on the front is either 70% or 75% & I understand this may become part of the MOT shortly.

Why do you want your car to look like a pimp mobile anyway?

i know the legal issues, i have just got used to tints, but did not know how they would look on a porsche, not seen many with them on, so was just seeing what people's reactions and comments were, before making my mind up.

Hi :)

I have Limo tint on the rear hatch and rear quarters of my 928...I needed it to keep my Nitrous bottles cool....personally I think it looks excellent...its 90 % so I also had to fit a rear view camera and lcd screen to my interior mirror which works well as I could not see out of the rear lol with the 90% tint...

But I would say go for it, as we are all individuals :)

All the best Brett :)

Tinted windows can look great on black cars and good on white cars. I’m not a fan on other colours.

My black 944T is tinted with full smoke on the rear hatch, light smoke on the rear quarters and ultra-light on the front windows.

The ultra-light allows more than enough light through to stay legal.

Although … technically any tint in front of the B-pillar is illegal if not factory fitted.

Hi mate, the way I look at it is whatever you drove before you have just moved up several leagues and for me window tints on a porsche are criminal! This may sound cheesy but I want the world to see me driving my 944S. It might only be worth £3000 and I'm sure there are people on here who have cars worth over £100,000 but I'm also sure those people know where I'm coming from because everyone on here are "mad for the marque"! So don't hide behind a screen, be proud. :D

think you have echoed most peoples thoughts on tints, but will still keep an eye on getting them at perhaps a much later stage :|
