944 Turbo forged wheels for sale

944 Turbo Forged wheels fitted taken form my 1988 Turbo S

Wheels are in excellent condition - no marks or scuffs.

Fronts are 7 ich rears 9 inch.

Front tyres are Toyos - new.
Rears are Kumho half worn.

Asking £400

Out of interest which particular type of Kumho are they & how do you rate them? Will need two new rears before long & there the cheapest by a long way!

Take a look at the Falken 452 as well, looks the business http://www.falkentire.com/Tires/FK-452-3 Just changed all four tyres to these from Michilin Pilot Sport Cups and they perform well and lot more comfortable on the road. About the same price as Kumho aswell

Had 2 others waiting to buy them, guess they were priced about right.

You dont see many for sale now.

Were those Club Sports or Design 90's?
They are very similar.

They looked exactly the same

But I might have had a lucky buy

The Club Sports are more expensive as they are forged. Design 90's are cast.
I have no idea of the current price but I priced a new set of Club Sports in 1997.
The 7Js were 675 + vat each and the 9J were 875 + vat each.
Needless to say I decined.

Bert Gear had a new 9J at a Porsche autojumble which I bouught.
I bought another 9J off a Rose owner whose car had been repossesed. He had been paraniod about the car being stolen so he he took a wheel off every night. The reposessers dragged it off the drive and down the road on three wheels.
Tom Fergusion had a pair of new 8Js bought for a 928 S4 Sport. I bought these despite they had holes for pressure sensors thinking that I could buy blanking plugs. Porsche only sold the sensors at 300 a wheel. It was cheaper to buy a SH set of forged SLOTS with sensors so I did. The sensors are a bugger the take out and fit by yourself and need a special tool.

They are sitting in my garage right now, i will take as many £200 pound sets as you can supply !

The CS wheels are a totally different thing from D90's apparently the lightest wheel produced for Porsche.

JJ you can have the Kumhos for £40 plus carriage if you want them ?
I will be fitting Toyos to match the new ones on the front wheels
