Having advertised my lovely S2 on eBay and failing to reach reserve, and not having had any replies to my ad on Pistonheads, I have reduced the price on Pistonheads (item no.1054333).
I really dont want to sell but I need to get to see my daughter in NZ in December and the price of the flight means the car must go.
It has a 7 page report from Hartech done about 7000 miles ago and most of the points raised have been sorted. The report mentions noisy gearbox which hasnt really bothered me since changing the oil to Swepco, but on being offered a good S2 box I got it just in case. I will let the box go with the car rather than try and sell it seperately.
If I have any cash left over I will look for a cheap 924 or 944 that needs a lot of TLC
Bruce

Really sorry you car didn't go seems the market is flat regardless of the quality and price.

I was thinking of selling my S2 but having seen so many fail to meet the reserve and not wanting to give it away I think I will see if I can work out some way to keep it.

I do have a red 924S 1886 (125Kmiles) still MOT'd (till Sept) currently SORN which is a great runner with a good history and which has sat on my drive since Feb this year as I can't afford to tax and insure both (she was my daily driver for four years), it needs a OS wing which I have in red in my garage and could do with a re-paint as it has faded as usual so if you do sell yours and have something left over she could be yours for £1000ono and I woould tax it for that.

David, sounds like the ideal project, down side is the distance between us! I will let you know if mine sells though.

Would be a nice run down to the seaside not a problem driving it that far but would need to tax and insure it first, good luck with selling your S2 not nice to have to do but needs must.
