After 6 yrs at RML i have been made redundant, the loss of the Mercedes race programme with the SLR's left short of any major work,so along with many others in the Motor industry i am out of work.
I've been an Auto Sparky for over thirty years (yea it soon adds up ) and have worked at FoMoCo at AML (Service & Restoration N/Pag and Engineering at Gaydon) Lately i have been at Ray Mallock Group on the WTCC Chevrolet and Mercedes SLR Race Programme.
I've got a few options but if you know of anyone looking for a sparky give me shout.
Sad to hear Derrick, had a close escape recently after we made redundant around 25% of the workforce.
Hearing so much of it at the moment, how long before it gets sorted out?

I had an escape when our place laid off quite a number. It will get worse before it gets better as people are still being laid off & many companies are continuing even though they are technically bankrupt. Hard times. But if you have the skills then you should find something else before long. All the best in the hunt. Happened to me in the last one. Not nice at all.

Sorry to hear your news , good luck in the job hunt. I went through this many years ago at the time it was fairly desperate but in long term was best thing that happened to me.
