Hi,

Had a quote for two Falken FK-452 (225-50-16) at £80 each all in, seems good to me!

About right. I just ordered a full set of those today aswell strangely enough. 225/40 ZR18 front £80 each. 265/35 ZR18 rear £120 each so £400 the full set fitted. Decided after much discussion with fitter these were the best value to performance for everyday use along with Kumho KU31 with it's new tread design they've just brought out but I liked the look of the Falken better.

Should be good performance

Andy

Got Falkens on the front of the Jag they seem OK but possibly a tad noisier than the Pirelli Assymetricos but much cheaper, around 116 each rather than 159 for the Pirellis :o Grip seems the same or better & better in the wet.

£159 each! What size are those tyres. My Pirelli PZero tyres (225/40 17) on My Golf GT170 were £110 each. Lasted 10k miles which for commuting I thought pretty poor 1 on the limit and 1 had a bulge appear in the sidewall. Think I'll change to Falkens for these next time.

I thought of buying tyres online but to get a fitter to fit them you end up at around the same price anyway don't. Could you get these fitted for less then £30 quid?

That is for 245/40 x 18 97Y XL rated. I think they're the originals & did around 22K on either end.

For all the help my fitter gave me explaining about the different tread patterns and how they work I was willing to give him the business, plus one of his collegues wants his aerials looking at so got a bit of return business from him  I'm a bit jammy like that

£7 each balanced is usually as cheap as youll find. They make take £1 off if you take your own tyres away.
