Excellent show - thanks and well done to all the organisers and helpers.

Kept my nephew amused all day looking at all the lovely cars. I learned a few things about 944's at the how-not-to-buy-a-crap-one talk (hope I haven't), managed to squeeze in two ice creams, bumped into lots of friends and acquaintances, enjoyed the sun a bit too much (seared forehead and nose) and had a go on the gaming truck (won race against the resident hotshoe !!!) which was a brilliant idea. And as usual, the concours was excellent - I don't know how the guys manage such a high standard, but I'm glad they do. Congrats to all the entrants. And all capped off by a brilliant drive home on back roads, avoiding the motorways.

Hi All,

This was my first TIPEC show I have attended as I only joined in January. I entered my car into the concours comp. just for fun and didn't take it too seriously. The standard of cars in the concours was high and I didn't expect to get win anything (I didn't in the end up!).

I was surprised at how friendly all the other TIPEC members were and how complimentary they were about my S2. I did manage to get round the car park to see what other people had arrived in. I've photographed some of the other excellent 944's to give me some idea's of what I could do with mine (just minor style tweaks incidentally).

The weather was perfect as were the cars. I really enjoyed the event and am looking forward to next years event. Thanks to Sean and everyone else involved in sorting this event out.

Ben :bounce:

Hi Ben

Glad you enjoyed it, your car wasn't far away. Keep at it, a small area at a time and you'll get there. The standard this year was very high this year and it was a very close run thing.

Fantastic show - A Big thanks to Sean and all the organisers and helpers.
Never seen so many porsches in one place. The 944 talk was EXCELLENT, when i got home, checked my receips to make sure the camshaft chain and shoe had been changed when the belts and water pump where done recently. Thank god they where. Can now aford to sort my wheels out. Nice to meet you all for the first time and making me welcome.
Ken.

Hi Clive,

Well done on coming 1st. I did try to find you at the end to congratulate you. Your car is absolute porn! I was seriously nursing a semi! (for the 993 before anyone asks)

Regards, Ben :bounce:

Thanks Ben....it took a long time to get it like that, mostly evenings and the odd weekend hour.

I was staggered to find that last night on the first night of NOT detailing it, I had a wife indoors. Bonus !!!

This gets my vote as the finest post this forum has yet seen.

Cheers to Sean and Clive for doing the lion’s share of planning and organisation and to everyone else who helped. A grand day out, that we’re only just home from.

Here’s Jen driving my car on the test track, and putting all those pesky 911 things to shame.
