Morning all.

Drove my 944 to work this morning and the clutch pedal was only returning 1/3rd the way back to the top.
The gears would engaged without any problems and the car drove without any other problems.
The pedal would spring back to the normal position if tapped from behind.

Any ideas where should I look to try and resolve the problem?

Cheers

My 924s did this. The pipe from the little pot to the master cylinder had perished and let some water in to the system. Replace the pipe and bleed the system. If that's not a fix, the slave cylinder and master cylinder are about £40 each of GSF same as an Audi. I have som of the pipe if you want me to cut you a lenth and post it to you.
Ben.

My S2 cab had the same problem.Tried bleeding it , flushing fluid thro' and in the end changed the slave cylinder. This solved the problem , but when I dismantled the old slave cylinder there was nothing blindingly obviously wrong with the old one- seals all seemed good , but hey ho cured the problem.

Porscheshop do the slave for £50 inc VAT and you'll get a bit off with TIPEC discount. I'd giveGerman, Sweedish & French a call too. Berlyn want £70 for it as do Eurocarparts.
