'Just won a Porsche scripted rear reflector for the 924/944 offa eBay. It's a bit of an impulse buy and I think they're like Marmite. (Love 'em or hate 'em!)

What do you think? Has anyone else got one?

Here's a sample pic, just so you know what I'm talking about....

Think I agree, I like Marmite but not to keen on this. Particularly don't like the idea of having to move the number plate, I think they look OK on old 911s as the number plate seems to fit in nicely but not on a 924/944. Only my opinion though and everyone to their own.

Yeah, I'm not too sure... I might fit it or just put it with all my other retro Porsche collection under my bed.

I'm also thinking of maybe fitting the number plate over the top of it.. :?

Frequently found on American cars and those imported from America. I think that theyre terrible.

For me that's one to decorate the garage with. Don't like the look of them I'm afraid.

Are they genuine American spec Porsche options or aftermarket items?

To me it looks ok - in keeping with the 964 rear reflector really. Of its time but not 3 bad to my eyes (but then I'm a 70s/80s child ;))

Just very American. In a tacky tasteless sort of way. Big problem is what do you do with the number plate without it looking awful.

Not surprised you won it, there was probably nobody else bidding! Next time E-bay says 'do you want to confirm', ask if you can phone a friend first....

However, now you've got it you may as well use it. You could put it on the roof and pretend to be a taxi
