Hi Pauly,
I would be interested in KW3 suspension for my S2 which has mo30 at the moment- any interest in a
group buy. What was Promax' s price- they told me about £2Klast year.
Cheers Ron

How about this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KW-Variant-3-PORS ... m153.l1262

Is 1300£ too much? What's the price from rpm?

When you buy the kw variant 3 can you specify the damping rate you want or it's all adjustable? From what rate to what rate is it adjustable?

I spoke to the KW reps at the Autosport show and they said they don't allow any retailers to sell the kits any less than the RRP, but we might find someone who may offer free fitting or alignment.

That's actually illegal and they can and will get themselves into big trouble with the OFT for it.
A much larger company, which you will almost certainly have heard of, tried exactly that. They failed and were fined quite alot! They changed RRP to SSP (suggested selling price) and exert no pressure on selling at all.
They are a brave bunch if they are actually open about this.

That a good point but I think there maybe are a few ways around this, like not telling the retailers they have to sell at the SSP but not supplying the kits to retailers who sell below it. Either way I've not seen anyone selling the KW kit significantly below the £1300 mark.

Hi Dave,
RPM are about £1300 but will fit it free- extra cost will be 4 wheel alignment about £270 and if Torsion
bar needs resetting for ride height. Going to see if mine will need resetting in next few days.
Cheers Ron

Catamax; I believe that the dampers will be fully adjustable (soft and forgiving ride to stiff and racey ride) in bump and rebound (compression and extension of the damper) but the spring rate is something entirely different. It may well be possible to spec your own spring rates or the salesperson may suggest what they think to be a good spring rate for car weight, useage, ect. As for specific details on damping/spring rates it would probably be best to contact your nearest seller.

Alright chaps, I spoke to Stuart at K300 and he certainly has an appetite for a group buy. Retail cost is £1300 and he wont give me a figure until we have more idea on a) demand and b) models, so, if those interested can copy and paste the following and add their details we can get this moving!

Please note, I assume everyone is interested in the V3 kit, which is a great combo for fast road and track?

Name County Car Model/Year
Ben Chambers Lincs 944 Turbo/1989

I wasn't really looking to buy until later in the year but depending on price it might be a deal I can't turn down, so put me down as a maybe!

Name County Car Model/Year
Ben Chambers Lincs 944 Turbo/1989
Maybe Dave Mercer Cheshire 944 Turbo SE/1988
