We have some 3 quid guys round our way who save money on buckets and water by just dipping the sponge in a nearby puddle. The local bodyshops make a decent living just machine polishing out the swirl marks from side street 'valeters'

Watched some "valeters" cleaning a VW Beetle turbo while I was sitting in Asda car park waiting for missus. Had to cringe as they ran one of those plastic blades over the car then threw it on the floor to do a bit of buffing. How many £'s worth of damage do they do each day if that's how they treat there equipment. As we were leaving a nice Cayenne turbo S pulled up, ready to have a nice bit of grit that was on the pavement a minute ago scraped along it ample bodywork.
