Let me know where you end up—good silk screen companies are getting harder and harder to find. Might be able to put a little work in your direction at some point, you never know.

To be honest, the advances in digital printing over recent years have killed off a lot of the screen printers up in Scotland. We tend to use large-scale digital flatbed inkjet printers to print directly on to wood, metal, glass, etc—precisely the sort of jobs that would have traditionally been silk screened. We’re even using digital print for bespoke wallpapers now, because it’s cheaper than hand-screening for short runs.

Still … there’s always some projects that need a proper, skilled hand. Digital can never do it all.

It is with huge joy that I'm able to take my porsche of the market after securing work with my brother and taking on a lodger to help with the mortgage. I would like to apologize to all that expressed an interest. I would also like to thank everyone for their kind messages through my redundancy. Gary
