Hello,

I am a new north west member, I have a dark brown 1979 924, and need to replace the door cards, the originals are very very badly water damaged, I would also like to replace the rear interal panels that run under the side windows one of these is also badly curled due to sunroof drain blockage, anyone any ideas please.

thanks
Barbara

Hi

Phone round the specialist dismantlers and see if they have the bits you are after.

I'm sure if Elliot has any of the parts he will drop you a pm.

I have been trying for these bits for quite a few months and have rung quite a few new parts store as well as recyclers and do deal a lot with Alistair at Porsche recycle in Trafford Manchester, I have found him very helpful, but
the work on my car (I hope) is almost complete apart from these parts, I will keep trying and will be ringing a couple of other recyclers in the area.

Thanks

Barbara

Yes you did, still no luck getting the brown parts, I have ended up buying a plastic dashboard cover and am having it covered by the Autotrimmers in brown vinyl, it should look OK when it is finished, but I can not tell you what he said about the door cards, the english translation was buy some others.

'79 will be early brown, wont it, so very rare now? Id suggest looking for the door cards and rear quarters from a late brown 924S. Have you tried PH Sportscars? Paul isnt as interested as he used to be: but he still has more than most others put together...
