Hi all... I have what I thought initially was a loose or 'on the way out' exhaust vibration. On underneath inspection the exhaust was perfect - no holes anywhere or any loose brackets. The vibration is quite a deep one and happens at about 5-6k revs, so any suggestions anyone?

By the way it's a 1982 944 with 114k on the clock

Thanks.. 8)

If it's revs rather than road speed, does it disappear with the clutch dipped? If it does then it could be drive line such as torque tube. If it doesn't then it could be balance belt skipped a tooth. Engine mounts are normally felt lower down.

Hi-
I have a 1989 944 turbo lsd which at rev range of 3k beins to vibrate underneath the car. Can't tell whether its from the front or back. Definately doesn't sound like any engine noise.
If you dip the clutch the vibration stops. No trouble in selecting gears. No clutch slip & only happens at that rev range.

Any ideas on how to isolate the problem to a specific part???
thanks
Glen
