, the Freelander and buying a Cayenne.

In the last year i drove the 3.2 for 2,000 miles, sadly most (75%) was motorways, not what I bought it for
Freelander 6,500 miles.

The 3.2 is not garaged and not likely to be, until we sell Alexa (in about 7 years time).

Thought about a 968 or 944 tiptronic, Must be as Sandra hates manuals, the last manual of mine she drove the gearbox through its P45 at me in 2 miles. But they are not big enough for the trips to the cash and carry or collecting/taking guests to the airport.

So to stay with a Porsche then it must be the Cayenne

Funnily enough Paul G & I keep discussing this. They are now seriously cheap, although the fuel consumption can be an embarrassment, one of my colleagues has a Turbo & reckons the best he ever sees is 16MPG on a run & around town is sub 9mpg But they drive very well & aside from quick, they handle well as well.

It probably makes a lot of sense and they are buttons to buy at the moment.

we had a Cayenne S for over 3 years and loved it to bits. the fuel consumption was no where near THAT bad. the thing that is expensive is any repairs or service.
eg:
we had a wing mirror knocked off and it cost over £700 to replace.

I know, we have a few S V8s at work & the reckon mid 20's normally. Reliability isn't too hot though. Electrical issues, plus some major ones like gearbox problems crop up.

Not too bothered about fuel consumption.

There are a quite few for sale in town, so I might have a trawl around them tomorrow
