just about to tuck into haggis, tatties and neeps as its the 250th anniversary of scotlands famous bard rabbie burns, had a couple o' wee drams, just to keep the cold out of course, any of you north of the border (or south of course) going to partake ? i will use the wonders of modern technology ie you tube to play the address to the haggis as i carry the beastie in

We’ll be enjoying a haggis dinner when Jen gets home from the pub. In the meantime, I’m going to cook it, with probable hindrance from the dog.

Right, food time.

The fireworks outside just finished … Haggis is on the go, tatties and swede chopped and ready. The dog is cunningly distracted with a rawhide bone.

I might just get brave (or was it Braveheart) for next year and join in the festivities if the boss can come to terms with me wearing the "family" tartan

watched an interesting program on BBC4 tonight about the life of rabbie burns, fathered 13 children that they know of, and died at the age of 37 penniless
