PCGB North East are looking at holding some skid awareness training in conjunction with the Institute of Advanced Motorists. The more people that take part the cheaper it would be. At the moment, if 18 people take part the cost would be £48 for a one on one 90 minute session.

No dates have been set as yet, but it would be a weekend. Please let me know if you are interested.

Dates to be decided, but not until next year anyway Dave, so the injuries from that lunatic power boat you've bought tickets for should be nicely heeled :D

Depends when/Where but sounds good.
More details would help. Is it in a front wheel drive box or a real car? Own car???

I've now got a little more information;

The venue which has been used previously has been Local Authority car park, previously Hartlepool have provided one for the IAM, so they may do so again.
The timing would hopefully be sometime next spring, but would be dependent upon car park availability.
The company running the event provide a modified car and instruction. The company is called Driving Dynamics and their website is;

http://www.drivingdynamics.ltd.uk/index.html

Oops!
But at least you are an expert in alloy wheel refurbishment, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem to fix 8)

Hi Mark,

You may be doing memberships the wrong way round

I was in the IAM for over 25 years (membership number 101027 if memory serves me correctly) but then I joined TIPEC!

Haven't looked back since, except in my mirrors of course!

Hi Mark,

This isn't really a TIPEC event, it is being organised by PCGB and we have been invited along by Nick who is their North East RO.
I'm sure he won't mind though!

Simon

Hi Simon,
My company has used DrivingDynamics I believe for the defensive driving courses we have to do every few years and did one with them on a skid pan a few years ago, brilliant experience so depending when it is count me in and probably my Wife also.

Hi,

I'd be up for it but depends on the when and the where. I'd also prefer it if the car used is going to be rear wheel drive as previously mentioned by someone else.
