Well my run of bad luck continueth.

I've only gone and written off the '44 :(

Caught some really slippy tarmac (black ice?) exiting a roundabout, lost the back end without warning and could not get it back. To make matters worse it's a downhill section so the car seemed to pick up more and more momentum, until that is, it decided to smack into some armco doing, oh, about £7k plus worth of damage  .

I was only going about 30ish I reckon when it hit, but it was enough to destroy the front wing, bumper and badge panel in one fell swoop. To make matters worse it bounced me into the barrier on the opposite side of the road which then destroyed the back end.

On the bright side no one else was involved and only my pride is wounded.

Still gutted though.

Adam

That's terrible Adam. Where did it happen? If you need any help let me know. In fact you can borrow my 944 if you want.

Ouch, glad you’re okay Adam.

Hopefully you at least have the luck of shopping with your insurance money in a severely depressed car market—you should be able to get a lot of car for your cash!

That sucks, glad you're unharmed though. Easy to do in this weather. I went out last night and nearly lost it on the ice several times, I think the Cab is staying in the garage until the temperature gets back up above zero.

Thanks for you kind words guys.

I might have to do the sensible thing and get back into a boring car for a while

Jim it's very kind of you to offer but I couldn't possibly accept.

Your call Adam, you'll have to insure it (or maybe I can extend mine) but it's here if you want it.
