been experimenting with the candy gold today, like a tit i left the camera at home but something gave me an idea. i ditched the gold/orange/sick colored cam cover and plenum and went black with gold lettering. my sample piece was my coolant cap. i gave it a spell on the buffing wheel to bring the chrome back to bright and dusted true gold candy on it and this is the result....
Image
the candy comes out just like gold plate over highly polished parts. stay tuned, tomorrow i will have new engine bay pics of the new configuration.

It's ok as far as I know.
Just thought a bit more poke might be needed as they are a heavy old beast!
Engine looks much better with the black and gold.
Coming along nicely now mate.
What grey did you use for the respray?
Might be asking my bro to do the same to mine

daz try to get a test drive in a gto mate, they may weigh almost 2 ton but they leave most things standing and they handle! i think the weight contributes to their stableness. they certainly are not a slow heavy old bus. they actually feel half the weight of a '44 to drive. and they deffo don't feel old either. you will be majorly surprised ;)

the grey is acura sterling grey,
