It might be going back to its original colour of black at some point, I'm undecided at the moment, all depends on how hard the blue is to colour match as certain panels need respraying and the drivers door needs replacing.

OK guys I came on here to post I pick of my pride and joy, wish to hell I did not I have a reason for what I have done to my car and I believe it has worked, sorry fen you jump on everything I say till I start saying stupid things, the lightening makes the car go faster, not BHP,my car is very very fast but might not be just from the BHP now please can we drop this,I did not go to the meeting because of all this and the cornwall branch only has a few people I feel as if I dont even want a porsche anymore is this what the club wants ?at the end of the day it my car and can stick as many silly holes in it as I want, please can we drop it now,

Richard, don't take this the wrong way but to take offence over what is said on a forum is a little short sighted. This is a common area of "discussion" on forums, especially Titanic so therefore is likely to get jumped on here. Promax also have been discussed many times there so again likely to be jumped on here.
Fen is very knowledgeable but does put things across a little forcefully, maybe he should be a little bit gentler in future. His knowledge of 944's especially Turbos is immense so a worthwhile resource for this & any other forums.
I'd add he now lives in NZ so you're unlikely to bump into him at a TIPEC SW meet

NO apart from being a pig to keep clean, personally black doesn't suit the 944 shape particularly.

I quite like the 944s I've seen in black, especially with matching Fuchs. Only 944 other than my own that I've had a decent look at is Jim's (hotblack944) at the Hampshire pageant of motoring which looks great.

I have another black car but at the moment it's more brown as I haven't cleaned it for over 5 months now.

I think the met blue looks great on a 944, if you need to respay some of the panels, you will have to use water base and a 2k clear coat,if you are going to change it back to black it is best to use a 2k paint as black is not that easy to do, I am spraying a car at the moment with ferrari met new datona black, water based with 2k clear coat,I had to totally paint my white turbo that everyone hates lol, and I sprayed it with 2k alpine white,it now has a showroom finish

Having trawled back through the pages I now know which car has got everyones back up (or rather the cars owner). Richard, Im not going to pull my punches: your car is vile. If you remove all of that tasteless crap then whats left may still be worth salvaging/discussing.

I can take that on board, though I don't necessarily agree I initially broached the subject without an attempt at diplomacy, and I'm not going to even pretend that I won't be direct in the face of insults in the future should situation arise again. I won't resort to throwing insults myself however.

I'm happy to see that the thread has been cleaned up as it was not the right place for the discussion, though as I said in one of the now removed posts I hope that was the only reason to delete them as I personally don't feel anything I saw said crossed a line had it been in its own thread.

Richard, I don't want to put you off the fourm and certainly not the club. I appreciate you took what I said personally, but it was not meant to be and if you stick around I imagine you will sooner or later see that I will correct anything I see as a statement put forward as fact that is incorrect, regardless of who makes it.

Simon, it may not be to your taste or mine but to be offensive is OTT. That isn't constructive criticism.

You have to know when to stop: and with your car it was after the Fairlady lights and certainly before virtually everything else.
