When i stripped down the headlights on mine a couple of month back i had this problem, and the bottle as you have said Jim was gunged up, so all i did was give this a good wash with hot soapy water then pull the lines with an air line after disconnecting from the jets. I also soaked the jets in how water and scrubbed them with a nail brush before using the air line on them too, worked a treat till i decided one day to buff the car and forgot to remove or even mask out the jets

But it should work.
Failing that then re-piping is the next best option
