£15 a set? For brake pads? Are you sure? Which model of car? (Lux/S2/951)

I paid £40 for a front-axle set for my S2 about 3 months ago. Mintex, from GSF.

I'd agree with the comments on here - they are not much more than OK, but do seem to work better when warmer. As it's a daily driver (not a track toy) you may be able to do better with other brands. Oh, that's with ATE disks by the way.

Oli.

£15 is for Unipart. But will be trade price (Lux). I also tried Halfrauds. Cheap but c**p. Not sure how they got them past the test??? Money you save buys somthing else. Like antiroll bar bracket suports. :)

Well, the trackday went great - the old girl really stood up well. The brake pedals travel was very long towards the end of the session, i think we cooked our fluid - uprated brakes and tyres are the order of the day before the next track session.

The car was really progressive and although we spent a lot of the time sideways it was always controllable and fun - we weren't the fastest out there but i reckon we were the comfiest and having the most fun.

The car under steered at one corner, but everywhere else you could fairly aggressive and throw it in and it would just stick - very very very impressed, the engine felt as strong as ever, although it is puffing a little under heavy acceleration.

And, for my shame on my last session out i pushed a little too hard on cooked brakes, missed my braking point by about 15 meters which resulted in this:

Was awesome fun tho - looking forward to the next one already :)

Mark.

A pair of these will cut the body roll & stop the roll bar brackets breaking. Good value for $40 from Lindsey racing. Sometimes available on ebay. They worked for me.
