Rear Brake calipers

Post by Lee Bee »

Hi There,
I have just had a brake service at a Porsche specialist but when I went to collect it they said that the thread has gone on my rear caliper and to buy a new own is over a £1000 does any one know where I can get one at a reasonable price, a full kit to upgrade at reasonable price?
Sorry the Car is 2008 997c2
Thank you in advance

Various people do refurbed callipers at much less money than that. Big Red is one. Alternative is a Porsche Indy or use GSF or Euro car parts. Unfortunately its a still bleed nipple in an ali calliper, it seizes. what a surprise......

OK, the nipple seizing is the normal failure for Brembos. But a refurb'd calliper will cover the wind back part as well.
