944 TURBO REAR SPOILER INSTALL

Post by BAZZER »

Hello all,
Does anyone have any advice on installing a 944 turbo lower rear spoiler on a non turbo. I'm a little apprehensive to start drilling hole into a perfectly good car, so if anyone has a templet or any measurements or photos, I would be very grateful.
Thank you

If you are talking about a late turbo bridge spoiler, to replace a rubber spoiler (early turbo had same rubber spoiler as all other 944's), then the hatch is different. It would be very difficult to fit the the later spoiler to an older glass hatch. You will need the correct hatch.

Edit to add - if you are talking about the lower valance, then you could try bonding it on, OEM fits with bolts however that would need drilling to accommodate. I don't have any pictures but trawling online might uncover some.

I believe there might be a section in the workshop manuals that covers the lower diffuser installation. Like Stuart says you should be able to make a paper template in order to get the holes in the correct place. I've also seen a thread on rennlist some time ago where someone was doing just the same thing (with pictures).
