 Post subject: 944 side skirts

Hi there,
Looking at a pair of side skirts on e bay to fit my 944,
Has anybody fitted these before,if so is it a straight forward job any advise would be appreciated

is this the box type or the S2/turbo type ?

I think they are box type. Not my cup of tea & can cost shed loads to fit if they don't fit well.

yup box type, usually fitted with self tappers drilled into the sills, not my cup of tea either

I took mine off as they were self tappered into the sill and wings and made it look like a hovercraft!

The other aspect is that most buyers will assume that the sideskirts are hiding a multitude of sins.. so if you have drilled into those nice original and tasteful sills that porsche gave the car on its birth it might be a bit late in the day to change your mind.

Good point & the B & Q chinese steel self tappers ain't going to aid the situation as regards the sills rusting either!

If they're genuine (or very good copies perhaps), then they'll fit perfectly well using Sikaflex.
