Hi all
I’m thinking of buying a new back box for my 87 turbo. I’ll probably opt to call Porsche and buy direct, but wanted to put it to you guys first. Do you think I’m better off getting one fabricated or buy the Porsche one?
If you know of anywhere else to buy from please share. A Quick Look online I see aftermarket ones for £700ish

Re: 944 turbo rear exhaust
Mine wasn't a Turbo but a 2.5NA. I ran a Dansk rear box as the original Porsche one died. I found it revved through a bit better & felt slightly more powerful above around 4K. The quality of it wasn't great and it had started to rust after a couple of years.
If I was doing it again I'd probably approach an exhaust specialist to build be a rear box & system.

Re: 944 turbo rear exhaust
I had a Dansk backbox on my turbo for 4 or 5 years. It never rusted, but I have heard that some do. I advertised it on and off for years, but no one wanted it for £200, until around a year ago.

I phoned Stuart,as you suggested it’s £700 for the mid and rear section. If I just want the back he suggested I post mine so he can fabricate an exact back box.

H&S have been going for years, and have a good reputation as far as I know. They're one of the few that make a 3" turbo discharge pipe I think.
