Hello from a new member !

Post by Baltic944 »

Hey guys, and girls I'm assuming ?
I'm new to the forum and to my first Porsche which is a 1989 944 in Baltic Blue.
I'm looking forward to learning more about these fine cars via the forum and contributing where I can, whilst keeping warm in the garage making improvements ready for the Spring :)
Here she is....

Hi Mark & welcome

Cracking looking car, I do love a bit of blue. Not a fan of none standard wheels normally but those look fantastic.
I still miss my 944, not many cars I'd have again but that is one of them.
Is that a 2.7?
Jim

Hi Jim, and thanks for the warm welcome !
It is a 2.7 yes which has a superbly documented history and a low number of owners.
The wheels came on the car but included were the original Teledials in good condition albeit with aged rubber.
I'm considering a trip to the French Alps in the Spring so I'll have them refurbed and shod with some good quality winters so I can then switch between both sets through the year (if we get something resembling a Summer that is) !
Also fitted was a rare Saratoga glass Sunroof.
Again, the original panel was included (which needs a respray due to storage marks) and having test fitted both I'm unsure which to hang on to. Now, whilst I love the masses of daylight from above when driving, I also value the originality and how the steel panel enhances the sleek lines of the car. What would you do ?
