I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Tim Brinkman, a new member.
I have a 1990 944 Turbo which is nearing the end of an extensive mechanical restoration and upgrade.
The fundamental changes are:
Engine:
- Original matching numbers block
- Darton 104mm MID Sleeves (closed deck) - now 2.7 litres
- Mahle 8:1 pistons;
- Carrillo rods;
- Dry sumped (Lindsey Racing with Air/Oil separator);
- Spare wheel well mounted Peterson 3 US Gallon dry-sump tank;
- Dry-sump breather tank
- GTX3576R Gen 2 Tal 0.83 turbo;
- Jon Milledge 8SR-14 camshaft;
- Speed Force Racing Intake Manifold with 70mm TB
- Speed Forcing Racing N/A cylinder head
- Raceware head studs;
- Cometic MLS head gasket
- Ferrea Super alloy valves;
- Lindsey Racing valve springs;
- ID 1300X injectors;
- Fuel swirl pot with twin Bosch 044 pumps;
- Speed Force Racing Stage 2 fuel system
- Speed Force Racing Stage 2 Intercooler;
- Speed Force Racing Stage 1 headers;
- Emtron KV8 ECU;
- Emtron CDI ignition;
- Emtron COP ignition
- Multiple map selector
- Sequential ignition & injection;
- New steering rack, PS pump, alternator, starter motor, brake master cylinder, clutch master & slave cylinders, servo, Wizard aluminium radiator, Twin 13" Spal 1720 cfmelectric cooling fans, Setrab 925 oil cooler, Setrab ps oil cooler etc;

Suspension
-Elephant Racing Sphericals throughout;
- Tarrett ARB's front & rear;
- Elephant Racing QuickChange 28mm TB's;
- KW Clubsport 2-way coilers;

Transmission
- Guard Transmission 50/80 LSD;
- New semi-solid mounts;
- KEP Stage 1 PP / Clutch disk;
- TTV flywheel with 60/2 crank trigger;
- Setrab transmission oil cooler

- Front - Big Blacks;
- 33/5 brake proportioning valve;
- Pagid RS29;

Wheels / Tyres
- Porsche 993 hollow-spoke 18 x 7.5" & 18x9"
- Fuchs Forged 18x8" & 18x10"
- Tyres - Yokohama A048R 225/40/18 & 265/35/18
- Tyres - Yokohama A050R
Interior
- Recaro Classic Pole Position ABE seats (black leather)
Various replacement parts - gearbox linkage etc - so a few improvements.
I've tried to keep it a sleeper.
It's about to go to have the ECU wiring & mapping done.

I think I omitted that I'm also running billet alloy control arms and billet front hubs.
My 944 Turbo ("George") has definitely been a labour of love.
