Nah, sorry (looks around to see if Seans watching.....) I don't like it in Silver  In fact not a great lover of any car in silver. The white looks fantastic
Still not convinced by the Speedster shape at all. The one I like but wouldn't pay the sums people ask for is the Boxster 550, I loved Kenwards, it's the colour blend I like. Hears Smallmans feet pounding to a keyboard

Nowt wrong with silver , don't show the dirt , and very popular on 911's when it comes to selling , usually on the more recent models .

And that is part of (my) problem! I work for a major computer manufacturer & our Bracknell car park is a sea of Silver & Black cars. Especially the "upmarket" German makes. Don't people have any imagination? :x
Porsche for instance do some stunning blues, why not a Midnight or Baltic?

Understand that, trouble is also when one is a mere mortal , and can only afford to buy used , when looking at the 'more interesting(and of lesser general appeal) colours, other problems begin to emerge, for example , you will find the perfect blue car , and then find the guy has specced it with, that lovely blush pink interior colour option, which will appeal to probably 0.5% of the market when the time comes to move on to your next car. Look at the problem people have selling green cars for example, dark green late 911's are probably almost raffle prizes :(

i'm not a fan of silver either, it was quite refreshing to hear that white is the new silver, (altho still not as fast as red) the base colours appeal to me rather than metallics anyway, just as well we're all different or life would be pretty boring

Understand what you're saying in fact TVR were one of the worse with some mixes being absolutely hideous! Our local dealer had a light met blue Chimera in at one point, but the inside leather was banana & custard coloured. It stuck there for months & when it disappeared I asked him about it. Apparently it had gone off to a trimmer to have a interior swap!
As for Green cars it's a marmite thing. I do not like & wouldn't buy a green car. However I know of some that love it!
And don't tell one of my members that his Rainforest Green GT2 body kitted 996 is only worth being a raffle prize.
The different colours will appeal to someone & their will be less of them sogiving the buyer less choice.

i'm probably biased but i think porsches, more than any other make, carry their colours quite well. i regularly see a '91 964 in that bright (sky ish) blue colour and it looks ace, see a mondeo in the same and you'd shoot the owner! same goes for lime green, speed yellow, orange etc etc.

one exception... metallic turqoise boxsters... bit of a hair dressers car... (apologies to all non hair dressing owners)... i'll get me coat
