To be fair none of my cars make 300bhp currently, and the 944 is at the bottom of the league. I suspect they need 500+ to make them really fun, based on my experience of 360 in my 944 and 505 elsewhere.

I think that depends on your definition of FUN! What did RR used to quote about HorsePower " I think Sir will find it adequate"
The blown S2 project is aiming for 310 & I'll be quite happy at that.

My old turbo se had around 340 and that was loads of fun!

I still have plenty of fun in my Lux and that's only got 165.

I guess fun for me means enough power to steer with (at any time, not just when the scene is properly set), and certainly with the KWs and track tyres 360 wasn't anywhere near enough for the Turbo to be like that, even in the wet. In fact by that measure the MX5 turbo I had with (supposedly) 246bhp should have hit the spot, but it missed something too. Perhaps the ability to steer using the throttle AND the ability bring an involuntary smile through sheer acceleration.

Bottom line is that I'm a self-confessed power junkie and I've never owned nor driven anything that has come close to satisfying me. It's something I've all but given up trying to satisfy, but there are some tasty looking proper muscle cars with blowers poking through the "hood" around here that I'd like to try before I give up completely.

Fit some 205's on the rear of a 944 turbo.
That should make it interesting!

Holy crap!
580brake and only 830kgs
That should fit in the 'fun' category no problem

That might be OK...

I'd love to have a go driving something like that - but I'm under no illusions I'd be any good at it.

hi guys my 944 turbo silver rose got sold and is being exported to australia as a race car, what it was intended for people are very short sighted, look at some forms of the 944 GTR quite ugly,I engine got very hot with all the BHP mods, also had to lighten the car so most was replaced with fiberglass, anyway I got my price, and going to be on its why down under in March, and have bought a 924 turbo, going for 4 gt scoops and a 968 rear end and to finish it I got some cool ford escort headlights

No offence mate but I think 4 scoops is a bit ott.
One is enough, if you doing a replica, but 4?
Might look a bit cack and make it difficult to sell when you've finished.
