Would anyone be kind enough to post a pic of the pulley end of their power steering pump and its clearance from the bottom radiator hose? Went for a drive yesterday and the pulley chopped a pin prick sized hole in the bottom rad hose weeing coolant everywhere. The pump has recently been replaced so I can't work out if the pump is forward of where its supposed to be (can't see how this would have happened, its rock solid) or the rad hose was old and swelled up during a spirited drive to make contact with the PAS pulley?
Either way it would be good to see 'correct' clearance before I replace the bottom hose.
Thanks

Re: 944 Power steering pump clearance
they are really close, 10mm max, if you push the hose too far up onto the water pump neck it hits the pulley,
I should have a second layer of protection over it too, my one does on the 968

Thanks... its snug alright. I'm definitely going to put some sort of extra shroud over it having been caught out once.Waylander wrote:they are really close, 10mm max, if you push the hose too far up onto the water pump neck it hits the pulley,
