I had cleaned the rugby ball connectors when I had an issue with my fuel gauge but that was a while ago so after standing it may need looking at again.
I did assume the blue topped sensor was the coolant temp sender but I will dig a little further back, I haven't tested it yet anyway but I am struggling with the part number for the S, is it 928.606.201.01 and does anyone know the manufacturers part number, if available, ie if it is Bosch, just wondering if I can get it cheaper?

Buy one for a TD4 freelander, same part
The blue one is for the enrichment circuit of the ecu, the one just behind that with 2 spade connectors is the temp gauge

Re: Dreaded fuel lines need changing
I found the correct sender earlier today pulled both connectors off but one wire broke straight away so I had hoped that was the issue, I stripped and crimped a new connector on but that didn't work. The temp gauge did sometimes go to the correct temp when I was messing with the sender wires so when I do get the new sender it do hope it cures this issue?
Thanks for the tip on the TD4 sender, I knew there would be another fitment, I've not checked the prices yet but hopefully it isn't so eye wateringly expensive? I hope I can swap this out by just removing the top coolant hose and housing, it looks like it might be just possible?
