Nobody able to give a recommendation? I want to get my 928 alloys refurb'd but would prefer a recommendation rather than going somewhere 'blind' :)

Lepsons is the "Clubs'" refurbisher. They're in Gillingham Kent but courier & offer storage. TIPEC members get a discount with them & i believe there is a deal on the courier.

Rather coincidentally, I found a chap just the other day on my way back from the MOT Station..

He is a single man outfit, with Apprentice, but has a background in Classic Car Restoration.

We started talking about the wheels on my 968, I want them to be body colour [Guards Red] and he took me through the ways it could be done and then the only correct way to do it :) He is a top bloke.. He is going to have my 968 for the week doing the Wheels, and will post photos of the finished product on here once done.

Anyways, then when I asked him if he knew of a Body Shop , he then said that he does Bodywork.. Looking through into his Workshop he has a Booth etc. so is setup for it..

His name is Dan Cox, company is DCAlloys, EX31 3TD Barnstaple.. 01271 267570

I guess that might be a bit of a drive for you, but I think it might be worth it.. Certainly have a chat with him and mention that I [red Porsche 968 Sport] recommended him to you.. 8)

Thanks for the recommendation! I love it around Barnstaple (we had a week away in Appledore last year), so if I can find an excuse to head down that way then I will

I am taking my wheels to a place just off the Bristol to Bath cycle path by Biton railway station. His set up look very proffestional £300 for strip and repaint.will let you know results, wheels he showed me were fantastic, lifetime guarantee he said.

I usually check Google for recommendations, I count on the review to see if it's reputable.
I have never tried to fix the wheel of my car before as I usually replace it with a new one. You can find a lot of affordable and quality wheels at stores like 4wheelonline.
