Injectors under test cycle after ultrasonic cleaning.
Have you/can you do your 993 injectors in it?...................................not giving away any clues to where this conversations going

Indeed I can they are next on the list. Different flow rates and high resistance types like late S2s and 968s.
New 993 injectors are in the region of £250 each and mine have done 174,000 miles so nothing to loose. Although the 993 runs really well, I have an AFR gauge fitted and it runs slightly lean on idle and part throttle. Not dangerously lean but not optimum and conversly consumption is a bit high (odd I know). I converted the inlet to a Vram manifold and changed the ecu but haven;t got round to getting it to Wayne Schofield for fine tuning. The Non-Vram and Vram use the same injectors but the Vram has slighly larger valves. I'm not interested in ulimate bhp figures but love the big boost to mid-range torque, with a LWF and 300 lbs less weight the acceleration is pretty good.
I'm not a big fan of rolling roads having had an MGA Twin-Cam break it's crank on one just before a race at Zandvoort, had to take my spare car. Those were the days that car was ex-1958 competition car and cost me £45 it was for sale in Germany a while ago for 30,000 Euro.
Dropped the gearbox on the 944 not a lot of room to maneuver and a dirty job. The trickiest bit was the selector rod guide tube. manual says use a long screwdiver but I could work out how. It seperated as the box dropped anyway now I can see how to do it.
The only part of the box that need replacement was the speedometer drive gear, the lugs on it were pretty worn. All oil seals were replaced, hub seals cheap, selector rod and driveshaft seals bloody expensive.
