Am an avid lover of Porsche (owner of a 997.1) and always pined after a 944S2 when I was a growing up in the 90’s.
Treated myself to a weekend toy a couple of years ago and bought a high mileage model that had been well looked after and maintained with service / receipt history that read like the bible.
Jump forward to yesterday and it rolled over to the 200,000 mile marker on the clock as I drove into the garage after a ‘spirited’ drive. Quite apt as the car rolled off the production line in Feb 1990 which was 30 years ago to the month.
This thing pulls like a train and sounds as sweat as a nut with the 3.0 4cyl engine although typically 5 miles from the magic number the bloody “brake pad check” light illuminated!!!
Have made a few personal mods to the car (everything can be reverted back to original) and after a full Bilstein suspension refresh a few months ago it handles like a go kart.
Few images as follows...
