Hi all,

Just registered so posting to say hello. I'm a new (first-time) Porsche owner - finally after first promising myself one in 2011 - and was pointed TIPEC's way by friend Sanjay, an existing member with a very nice 993.

As you can imagine, in 7 years it's been a bit of a saga! In a buying journey that started with a desire for a 987.2 3.4S, through 996 C4S to 997.2 I've ended up with a 997.2 3.8S. I only picked it up on Friday, and with friends over for the weekend I've only had a single chance to drive it since then, but already in love with it.

Thanks Sam - up in the west Midlands area, although I know your neck of the woods reasonably well (or I used to, I went to uni in Portsmouth ...a long time ago now!)

Hi David - I hope so, my friend Sanjay is already a member and I think that's his local meet. I just need to sort out my membership first!
