Have just returned from a run out and noticed that my nearside headlamp is not working?

It rises/shuts ok but the lamp is not illuminated - have changed the bulb but no joy :(

Any ideas of what/how to check?

Oops! Should have added that I have replaced fuse no 22 (low beam left) 7.5a which promptly blew again when I switched headlights on. High beam is working ok.

Check back down the wiring where it bends as the light lifts & lowers.I suspect it'll be frayed & shorting,if this is OK check on into the light unit.

Spot on with the diagnosis Jim  I peeled off the rubber sheath where the cable is fixed to the headlamp mounting and all three inner wires were frayed and touching!

Now sorted thanks :D

Common failure point, same as door wiring & tailgate wiring. Glad it's OK.
