Is it low to the ground due to the extreme weight of the batteries :?:

I always wondered how electric cars can be regarded as not having a carbon footprint when they need a massive power station to provide the charge :?:

The president of Ruf also owns hydroelectric power stations (which currently pump 35 million kW hours of electricity annually into the German electrical network), so he’s covered, at least.

You’ve hit the nail on the head though. Electric cars are far from ‘clean’ once you look further back up the supply chain—both of energy for recharging them and of production and materials for the car itself.
